BC's Safe Play Space standard asks licensed centres to inspect their outdoor play space every day, every month and once a year, and to keep a log of all inspections, maintenance and repairs.

Four times a year. We book it on closure days where we can: winter break, spring break, summer and professional development days.
Spot cleans. If something happens on the turf between visits, we can come back and extract the affected area. Priced per visit.

Every visit ends with a Play Space Maintenance Record: one page, emailed as a PDF, that you can print and keep with your other records.

Monthly Clean from $299 a visit
Deep Clean from $500 a visit
Prices are for turf areas up to 2,000 sq ft, plus GST. Larger play areas are measured and quoted.
On the full plan (a Monthly Clean every month, with a Deep Clean each quarter), that averages from $366 a month plus GST.

Send us your address. We measure the turf from aerial imagery and email you a price.
Your first visit is a Deep Clean. It sets the baseline: infill depth at fixed points, photos and a site plan.
Monthly Cleans follow, booked around your hours, with a Deep Clean each quarter.
What we won't claim
We'll tell you what we did, not what sounds good.
Some turf companies promise sanitized turf or "99.9% of germs." In Canada, a claim like that has to come from a disinfectant's own label, for the surfaces that label covers. We haven't found a disinfectant labelled for synthetic turf, so we don't make that claim.
What we do give you is specific: what we removed, what we measured, what we found and what we've flagged. That's the information your log, your landlord and your installer can actually use.

Turf problems we find
We don't sell or install turf. If we find a lifting seam, a loose edge or water that pools after every rain, we mark it on your record and point you to your installer. Those are installation or base questions, not cleaning, and your installer is the right person to fix them.
Common questions
Our staff already clean the turf. Why would we need this?
Your staff's daily check catches what's on top: litter, waste, anything sharp. Brooming, measuring infill depth, sweeping for metal and extracting what's worked down into the infill take equipment and time staff don't have. We do that part and write it down.
Doesn't our janitorial company cover this?
Most janitorial contracts are indoors. Ask what equipment they use on turf. A mop and an indoor disinfectant don't reach into the infill.
Do you disinfect the turf?
No. We clean it, extract what's in it, treat odour where needed and record what we did. See "What we won't claim" for why.
Will you be there while children are outside?
No. We book visits around your hours and work only when the children are off the area. It stays closed until it's dry.
What do you need to quote?
Your centre's name and street address. We measure the turf from aerial imagery. If the turf turns out noticeably larger on the day, we'll tell you before we start.
We lease our building. Who pays?
Whoever your lease makes responsible for the outdoor area. We're happy to quote the centre, the landlord, or both, and send the records to each.
